BBA Green Light For Maxit Onelite Renders
THREE high performance single coat renders from the maxit Onelite range have been awarded BBA Agrement Certification after successfully passing an exhaustive series of third-party tests.
The advanced coloured renders have been specially developed to offer a quality of finish, greater consistency in performance and enhanced protection when compared with conventional site-prepared mixes.
Onelite renders are generally applied in just one coat and require minimal pre-coating preparation provided the substrate is sound. Finishing by scratching or texturing is generally carried out as part of the application process to give application and final finish in one seamless process.
Renders in the series now awarded BBA approval are:
Maxit Onelite RG, is particularly suited for direct application, either manually or machine-applied, on to refurbished concrete structures to leave a stone textured finish. It can also be used on dense, smooth surfaces, but requires a bridging primer in such situations.
Maxit Onelite MQ is ideal for sprayed application on a range of medium to high density masonry substrates including rustic brick, lightweight concrete blocks, dense concrete blocks and stonework. It can be finished either by scratching, spattering or rough texturing.
The third maxit render to receive certification is Onelite P, a versatile multi-purpose render suitable for both hand and machine application to provide a dry dash finish on substrates including aerated concrete block, sand-faced brick and common or engineering bricks.
All maxit renders incorporate specialist water retainers, aerating agents, water repellents, fibres, light aggregates, resins and pigments to provide superior performance, whilst factory-blending ensures the highest levels of colour consistency and quality of finish.
