Lotus cars that take a spin during testing are being stopped in their tracks by maxit LWA. 

 The geotechnical fill is the latest material to be used in "gravel traps".  The material provides added stopping power and is much kinder on cars that go astray. 

Specialist contractors Mackinnon Construction Ltd, of Cromer, have used some 600m³ for the traps at the Lotus Cars test circuit in Norfolk and are hopeful that the suitability of LWA will soon see it deployed at key race circuits around the UK.
